The 61st Medford Rotary Relays is unlike any other event in the track season. Like the name implies, relays ruled the day on Saturday April 4 where 17 schools competed. Wyatt Thompson-Siporen was the most successful Grizzly athlete. The senior won both the long jump and discus as the only individual Grizzly to win an event. Mel Elshalom was third in the triple jump, and along with Mason Dow and Thompson-Siporen, broke the meet record for long jump relay with a total of 60’ 10” while winning the event. This specific relay is special to the meet. Dominic Meads got third in discus. On the girls side Kelsey McKelvey got third in javelin.

Both teams placed 13th overall. The next meet is a dual meet on Wednesday. Crater will visit Ashland. The Comets finished 4th and 7th in boy’s and girl’s respectively.
