The Rogue News

Josh Datz

Josh Datz, Writer

Josh Datz, a senior at AHS, was drawn to Rogue News by the, “sense of joy”, it created and the people in the class. Outside of his academic expertise he enjoys reading political news, trivia nights and chess. He is also excited to work on creating crosswords throughout the school year. His greatest passion is the workings of judicial and democratic institutions. As the class president of AHS his free time is limited, but this is part of why he likes Rogue News, he says it offers a place of relaxation yet he still feels that he is working towards something productive. His favorite meal is a Golden California roll with calamari. His favorite film is Fantastic Mr. Fox, he deems it as the greatest animation ever created. Which only highlights his deep love for fine works of art in all genres. One of his latest projects has been trying to get the school board to implement a vaccine mandate. He and fellow Co President, Luke Seeley, spoke before the school board and started an online petition. This demonstrates his hard work and passion for issues that he believes are important. He dreams of being a constitutional lawyer and as we can see is already well on his way to becoming one. We look forward to seeing what’s next in his academic and political career. Until then we will just have to wait for his next stroke of genius to cross his brilliant mind.
