Oscar Hernandez is a 15-year-old sophomore at Ashland High school. He currently plays on the school football team as JV quarter back number 12. This summer, Oscar went with the AHS football team to Japan for the Pacific Rim Bowl. In Japan, he enjoyed hanging out with friends, trying new foods, and going to shopping malls. Oscar grew up in Ashland and attended Belview Elementary. He now lives in Talent with his three sisters and one brother. A few of Oscar’s hobbies include: football, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends. It might come as a surprise to some that Spring is his favorite season. During Spring, he loves picking flowers and taking trips to the beach in San Diego. His favorite place to eat is In n Out and his favorite food is mac n cheese. At home, he has a Goldfish named Jerry and wishes he had a pet monkey, which is his favorite animal.  He also loves Kangaroos, and if he could go anywhere it would be Australia to see them. At school, his favorite class is science, and he loves to do experiments. Friends would describe him as funny, smart and passionate.
