Ben Reyes, Writer
Ben Reyes is a senior at Ashland High School. He was born and raised in Ashland making him a local to the community. He is an individual that enjoys being in a consistent routine while creating balance in his daily life. Although he misses going to school physically rather than virtually, Ben is able to acclimate to change without making a fuss. Instead, he tries to view the scenarios, like Distance Learning for example, from a “practical” point of view. Ben enjoys keeping himself occupied through hobbies such as cooking, exercise, and lots of reading. Ben likes to pick up books and since the pandemic began, he’s spent a majority of his time turning pages. His hobbies allow him to balance screen vs. no screen time since he and others alike have been getting enough of that already. He’s been going on runs outside to not only keep himself in shape, but to enjoy fresh air outside as well. When Ben cooks, he uses his skills he’s achieved from the culinary classes he’s taken at school as well as what his parents have taught him. Whatever he’s cooking must be delicious!
