Best Promposals of 2015

Lili Smith, Reporter

Strong puns, memorable performances and clever planning are the ingredients for a great promposal. This year, we saw a great number of original promposals. According to Urban Dictionary a “Promposal” is (n)- a proposal from one person asking another person to the prom; is the combination of the words “prom” and “proposal.”

Here are some of the best from AHS’ Prom 2015:

Giampaolo Di Silvio asked Mimi Schaefer-Sharp by writing “Prom?” in pepperoni on their pizza.

Brielle Preskenis sang “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift to John Ropp at Speech and Debate State Championships.

Gillian Mullane asked Tate Scarpaci at Mr Grizz in front of the whole audience.

Sarah Bestor got pulled out of class by Cullen Taulbee and was told it was an interview for yearbook.

Kelsey McKelvey asked Michael Pruitt to prom by hanging a sign as the bus pulled up from a track meet. It read “This question has been running through my mind. Prom?”

Kyle Milgram made a sign that read, “I’d pay to go to prom with you” to ask Payton Onesti.

These promposals are the best that Ashland High has seen this 2015 prom. Start planning your promposals for the 2016 prom and try your best to top these!
