This Holiday season the AHS Global Citizens Corps has teamed up with Leadership to put on a school-wide food drive. The food drive began on Wednesday, November 9 and will continue until Tuesday, December 13. Each advisory class is competing against one another and whoever brings in the highest amount of non-perishable food items will win a pizza party on January 3.
“I think this is a great way to raise Advisory spirit as well as the spirit of giving,” junior president of GCC, Ellia Shelton, said. All four presidents, which include Isis Terrall, Emma Cobb and Erin Keoppen hope to continue what have called “Hunger Season” with GCC by raising school awareness on global and local food security issues.
